I miss you and Kevin so much! You were like family. WNIC is crazy.

I am shocked!! I always listen to you and Kevin every morning on the way into work. I think it was a rotten thing they did to you both! I don’t know if I can listen to that station any more.

Lisa i am truly disappointed that the station chose to terminate the breakfast club with you and Kevin i have been a ardent fan for quite some time i guess change is always something that one must get used to but i will truly miss the wonderful mornings that i tuned in and felt comfortable with the positive chatter between you and Kevin.

Live long and prosper, and keep your glowing charm.

I am so angry/upset/sad. I LOVED listening to you and The Breakfast Club. This may sound odd, but when ever I would listen to TBC I’d reminisce about when I was pregnant because that’s when I first became a listener. WNIC screwed up. Best wishes to you and the others. You will be greatly missed on the radio. 🙁

I was shocked to read that my Breakfast Club is gone. I always wake up and turn on the radio in the morning to listen to my “friends” and wondered why there was no chatting this morning. I thought everyone was on vacation until I read in the FREEP that you and Kevin were gone! Now what? I’m still reeling from the big change last year and now this. I won’t be listening to WNIC any longer. If this is their way of getting new listeners then they are going about it the wrong way. Good luck to you in whatever you do.

Hi Lisa, I am in total shock too. I cannot believe Wnic got rid of you and Kevin. It was bad enough last year when David and Chris were let go but we still had you. You and Kevin were great together. I always looked forward to waking up to the Breakfast Club and get ready for the day listening. Your like family. You both tell us about your family, vacations, etc. and it makes us all feel close. You start my day feeling good because you make us laugh. I have been a loyal listener since the station was Keener 13 and that is a lot of years ago. I will not be listening to wnic anymore. Please let us know if you go to another station or if Kevin does. Is Chris at another station? How about Dave? Keep in touch. I am so glad you have this website as listening to you so long I feel like you are part of my family. God bless you and your family and good luck with whatever you plan to do next in your life. Thanks for the time you gave us all on the Breakfast Club. Whoever is in charge of Wnic should be fired. The station will never be popular without the Breakfast Club and all of you.

I will never listen to WNIC again. They should have gotten rid of Theresa Lucas, she is most annoying personality on that station. Lisa, I hope you and Kevin land something very soon. Enjoy your summer with your family – you deserve it. WNIC STINKS!!!

Lisa i placed a comment early this morning then later on i logged back on to read some of the comments that were sent in.
i am with Debbie i liked your comments about your children, and like Debbie i go way back to Keener 13 also.
i would start out each and every workday dialing 100.3 and once the first caller contacted the station i just felt so special to be able to count on you and Kevin in the morning i am at a standstill now i do not know how to select another venture that would compare with the Breakfast club.
give Kevin my regards, and stay in touch with your listeners and wherever you land remember what you shared was very special, and professional.

Maybe the reason they have lost listeners has more to do with them letting Dave/Chris go last year. I was disappointed to see how they were treated, so I started listening less often.

Now, I won’t be listening at all.

I am totaly shocked as everyone else. WNIC screwed up big time. I’ll never listen to them again. You and Kevin were a great team. I enjoyed you guys very much… Please keep us posted.

I don’t believe the people making these decisions actually listen to the radio. I LOVED the Breakfast Club and was the perfect start to my day – news, gossip, music, friends, chatter – what else could you ask for! WNIC is OFF my radio until they bring you and Kevin back. I did find Chris on WOMC replacing Dick Purtan, but even he is not the same without you, Lisa. Just wanted you to know how much you were enjoyed and appreciated. Much gratitude to you and Kevin for the great mornings you shared with us.

I listened everyday driving to work….missed Dave and Tammy and wonder how they are doing with their little ones…then Chris gone and was missed….heard he surfaced at WOMC and good for him, but now with you and Kevin gone there is no reason to listen anymore….You added everyday dilemas that we all deal with and family tales that hit home. Kevin was missed in the afternoon drive and now this too!!Terrible…he was funny and so typical with his cooking and shopping man stories and so knowledgeable about all music…You all will be missed…and I will find another station….stay in touch

I take one day to have out patient surgury and I come back to find you and kevin gone. Makes no sense to me. People are the commodity in radio not the music. If all I wanted was music in the morning I would put my CD in.
So is chuck still apart of WNIC or is he gone too. I know you will bounce back on your feet you will have to let us know where you end up. Good Luck!

    Nice going, WNIC!
Lisa, Kevin & Scandalicious was the best thing going in Detroit morning radio.
Oh & by the way, my husband & I will be looking elsewhere for our wake-up station.
Lisa & Kevin, get a new gig together somewhere on the dial & let the listeners know where you’ll be!

I was SHOCKED when I tuned on the radio this morning and NOT find Kevin and yourself not on the air. At first I thought you both were on “spring break”. Then I had a funny feeling something was wrong. So I checked out the website. This was the samething that happend to Chris last year. Over the years they just kept cutting. I was on the Christmas tour last year with my brothers and families. You guys were great. Guess I will look for another station to listen to. Maybe WJR or WOMC. Please, I hope you and Kevin keep us posted. Enjoyed all the stories about your families. We got to know you all well. I guess money talks. Peace be with you and your families.

I still can not beleive that WNIC let you go. I thought you guys was the best thing about that radio station. I can not listen to that radio station no more. You guys always made me smile in the morning. And that is hard to do. I enjoyed listening to you guys..I really will miss you. WNIC is going to regret letting you guys go. I also agree how you feel about radio. It is more than music, it is a connection. i feel like you guys are family. i am lost in the morning now.. Good luck. Hope to here you on the radio again..

    Hi Lisa,

Tuesday morning I called wnic and asked if you and Kevin were on vacation. I don’t know what station I will listen to in the mornings anymore either. It will probably be womc, because I always liked Chris Edmonds, too. I will not switch to magic, because I find Jim Harper to be an annoying know it all. He thinks very highly of himself. Ken Calbert is great if you love classic rock, wcsx. I like classic rock, but not daily. I could always let my kids ages 8 and 5 listen to you and Kevin. I am starting to ramble, so I am going to end with “good luck”.

I am SO mad that you guys are gone! I LOVED the morning chatting, the gossip, the Dr’s advice. My mornings listening to you guys were what helped keep me updated in the news!
They really messed up last year when they cut everyone (Chris, Tammie & Dave!)….but now…I WILL be tuning in to another station! Hey – maybe you can all go over to WOMC! That can be THEIR new gig! The Breakfast Club!

  23. Debbie Said,

    April 9, 2010 @ 5:37 pm

I am all with T. Thompson’s idea about all of you going to WOMC and have your Breakfast Club there. Hope they are reading this. Lisa you should give them the idea. You know what they say, “It never hurts to ask”.

Hi Lisa, I just finished sending Teresa Lucas an e-mail telling her that I thought it was ridiculous that you were let go. I told her that I will not be listening to WNIC anymore. I found out that Chris Edmonds is at WOMC, so I told her I was going to listen to that station. I really wish you and Kevin the best, you were a bright light in the morning. Take care, and I hope to hear that you are on a station soon.

  25. Christine Said,

Another non-sensical media decision. Unbelievable. I will never listen to WNIC again. I was a faithful listener to your morning show for years, and that is the ONLY reason I ever tuned in to WNIC. I am in a related business, and am constantly amazed at the quality that is sacrificed in a knee-jerk reaction to ratings. I will really miss you and Kevin, and hope to hear you on the air again soon. Thanks for years of laughs and great mornings!

The last thing I remember was Kevin telling us about his 30 years in radio and then I was away for a week. Yesterday I was wondering where both of you were and I felt something like this happened. I Googled and found my answer. I LOVED the talk part of the show. During my boring morning routine of doing my hair and makeup you kept my mind off these boring routine tasks. I will no longer listen to WNIC. The management should change their call letters as they are not NICE anymore!! I tried MAGIC 105.1 this morning and just not the same. I will try WOMC next. It would be GREAT if you and Kevin could go there. I am really upset, I feel like I lost my friends. Does the station realize the impact it makes on the listeners??? If I want continuous music I can play my CDs. I will also miss Chuck Gaidica. I loved hearing your comments on Idol and DWTS and so many other topics. I am really sad.

I was on vacation last week. These past three mornings I have been listening to WNIC and I keep saying “where’s Lisa, Kevin, & Chuck?” I finally googled you and found this site. Everything Gail S. said are my thoughts exactly. You were one station that my 14 year-old & I both enjoyed. We were always laughing at the things you & Kevin said. You will be missed!! I am already station surfing looking for something else. WNIC has lost me.

  28. Kim Said,

    April 16, 2010 @ 1:28 pm

I completely support all the comments you’ve received so far. WNIC has lost me as a listener also. The higher ups in radio are getting it all wrong. We don’t want just music, we enjoy listening to discussions about our local area, light hearted conversations, hearing about your families, laughing with you and sharing simlar thoughts and experiences. I was equally disappointed when Dave and Chris were so abruptly let go last year. You and Kevin (and Chris, Chuck and Dave) were a plesure to wake up to and during my 38 mile drive into work. Good luck, God Bless and Go Bulldogs (Class of 80)

I’m dumping WNIC in the morning from now on. I was wondering what the heck happened. I was on vacation when they fired you guys and when I got back I thought, well maybe they went on a vacation. Had no idea until today what happened. I’m very disappointed. I don’t listen for the music. I listened so I could hear your morning show. I’m done with WNIC. They were dead wrong when they made that decision. Bad, bad decision. Good luck to you!

This is really incredible! I couldn’t believe it when they got rid of Dave Lockhardt and now to have gotten rid of EVERYBODY?? I’m not even listening to the channel any more – I’m turning on the TV news channel and cranking up the volume so that I can hear as I get ready for work. I want to hear about what’s going on in the world when I wake up, along with music – not music only!! So sorry for you guys – thanks for all of the smiles that you’ve brought our way!!

Dear Lisa: I just wanted to say I really miss you and the rest of the gang. Mornings just aren’t the same! I also wanted to mention that I have an elderly father – he is 87. Thankfully he is well! He can’t drive anymore and he loved his mornings listening to “the Breakfast Club”. He mentioned to me how sad he is that you are not on anymore to brighten his mornings! I hope all is well with you and your family and the rest of Breakfast club. God Bless and Thank you for many years of joy!

OMG Lisa! I am so sorry that this happened to some really nice & interesting people (you & Kevin). I LOVED listening to you & Kevin -The Breakfast Club. You kept me focused & sane during my morning drive to work everyday. I just sent a nasty gram to Theresa Lucas. I am sooooo DONE listening to WNIC! They are NOT NICE!! That was a really BAD move on their part!
    Good luck to you…Roma

Thought you and Kevin were on vacation but I just learned that you and Kevin are gone and my radio station is now on Magic. What the “bleep” is WNIC thinking letting you guys go? I have listened to this station for close to 45 years (Keener 13)but will no longer bother.

I don’t know what happened, but they have made a huge mistake by letting you guys go. Please let us know what you get yourself into.

    Good luck.

    Lisa,

Hi. I too, thought you were on vacation and just realized that in fact you and Kevin were let go. I HAD all my radio’s at home and work tuned into WNIC but no more. I hope they will put you and Kevin at WOMC. You both compliment each other. I have been listening to both of you for many years. What a HUGE mistake by WNIC. WOnder what they’ll do now that they won’t have as many listeners. They are 3 less with my family. I’ll never switch back to them as long as you’re both gone!
