Lisa has passed away

It is with sorrow that we note that Lisa passed away on November 30, 2021.

Even though she hadn’t posted here in several years, it’s prescient that her last post dealt with life changing in an instant. Although she had been experiencing health issues over the previous year, she took a sudden turn for the worse.

Lisa’s spirit lives on in her husband, children, family, friends, and the thousands of people whose lives she touched daily in her career as a radio newscaster and personality as well as being a deep and true friend to so many people.

Grateful thanks go to all who have expressed their sympathy.

Lisa is available to speak at your function

Dedicated to entertain…inform…and inspire people.

Thanks to everyone who turned out for my talk at the  Novi Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.

It was great meeting everyone and the newly remodeled Baronette Renaissance Hotel Detroit-Novi  looked fantastic.  The  title of this talk was “Prosperous or pessimistic? It’s all in your perspective!”

I look forward to sharing my journey and life lessons for other groups or gatherings in the future!

Lisa’s latest speaking engagement

It was a pleasure speaking at the annual meeting of the Southeast Michigan Health Information Technology club in Plymouth recently. You were a great audience and I appreciate your comments and feedback below:

*Lisa Barry was an excellent speaker

*Loved Lisa Barry.  She was so positive and I left wanting to do more for others.  She was very encouraging

*Lisa has faced many issues that her audience also faces.  Working Mom…children to care for, family members with significant health issues and she shared how she faced those issues  in a positive way.  Made me think of all my blessings as I left that day.  Bravo, Lisa!

*Lisa had us in stitches!

Being Happy

I have always been interested in the pursuit of happiness.  Why is it so difficult for people?  Why do so many people seem so unhappy?  I know that I have a large capacity to love but underestimated the value of that trait..until I read this.  The key line for me: “It requires an incredible amount of depth to be positive and hopeful in the midst of adversity.”  You can read the article for yourself.  I would love to hear what you think.
