I had not heard your or Kevin all week, so this morning I decided to do a search on the WNIC page. I noticed the format change RIGHT away. So, I googled your names and found the article from the Free Press.
Shame on Clear Channel! They treated Chris Edmonds, Tammie & Dave Lockhart and many others the same way over the last year or so. I’m sure you must have wondered when your turn would come.
I will NO LONGER be listening to WNIC! It appears to me that Clear Channel treats their employees like crap, showing NO LOYALTY whatsoever!
I listen to 95.5 every now and then, and hear those folks dish on Clear Channel!
So much for loyalty to good employees!
    Very, very sad!
I wish you lots of luck!

You did brighten my days. My husband just talked to Kevin a couple weeks ago at the Seedlings bowling event and my husband told him that I would be shattered if you and Kevin were no longer on the air. And I am. I am glad that you have a positive attitude. I’m sure there are great things ahead for you. Thank you for having this page. I look forward to hearing of the wonderful things you will be doing in the future.

I’ve posted my messages on WNIC’s facebook page for everyone to see. The show you and Kevin gave us every morning was always a joy. I really felt like I knew all three of you (including Chuck). The Breakfast Club was intelligent, very funny and family appropriate. WNIC’s facebook response to me was that they had no choice: 100% business, 0% personal. I’m a business major and I’m not buying it — maybe the new jr. dj’s are paid less but they will certain garner far less advertisements. You need an announcer who develops those relationships with their listeners. I don’t listen to WNIC any longer. Way too painful. I wish you and Kevin much success in the future. P.S. Tried to find him on facebook but couldn’t — do you have any contact info?? Take Care!!

I don’t usually write to people I don’t know personally, but I have to say that WNIC is losing me as a listener. Mornings were much more pleasant and personable with the Breakfast Club. I loved the conversation and family-friendly information, as well as the humor and bantering. Lisa, you have held your own throughout and gave this impersonal city a voice and a fun-loving energy. I wish you the very best and know you will find the perfect niche. One very disappointed listener!

Lisa – you and Kevin made my day. I’m done with WNIC and have told them on their Facebook site and I’ve taken them off my Facebook friends list. I still haven’t found a station that I like yet but I will eventually, just never again WNIC. Spend your time with your family and friends. Give Kevin all my best.

    Hi Lisa,

I used to wake up and drive to work with you, Kevin and Dave. I wondered recently where you guys were. I knew you were on a spring break vacation, but I thought, what the heck, that seems like a long vacation. So, I did a search this morning, and much to my dismay and sadness, I found out that my favorite station is no more – you guys are what made it my favorite station – not the music. Don’t these dummies at Clear Channel realize that morning shows are what people listen to when they are waking up, getting ready, driving to work? Honestly, if I wanted to hear music, I have an iPod and a whole bunch of CDs. The selection of morning shows that currently exist in Detroit are pathetic – you guys were the bright spot in a barren landscape. I have removed 100.3 from my favorites on both my car and home radios.

I am sorry that you had to go through all of this, I can certainly relate, as I was laid off a year ago (six months later I found a new and much more emotionally rewarding job.) I hope another Detroit morning show snaps you guys up soon, and when they do, I will be listening! Til then, give my best to Kevin, Dave and Chuck. I will be keeping my eyes open for your next smart move. Love, Ann

WOW – I’ve been asking and looking all week for you guys! I can’t believe you and Kevin and Chuck wont be a part of my mornings. It’s not the music I listen for, it’s you guys!!! My mornings have not been the same since I have not heard you guys!!! Please let us all know where you go and what you do. Good Luck to you!!!

Very happy to have found you, funny enough there are people on the WNIC Facebook site sharing info on how to find you. I am so sad you, Kevin, Chuck etc.. are gone from our mornings. I so looked forward to getting in my car and taking my 45 ride to work listeneing to you. Some days I laughted till I cried. I feel like my extended family is missing ie)how are your kids doing and Chucks … As a listener we felt priveleged to know a little about you and your family, something these new stations care nothing about. I hope to hear you soon but till then Thank You for sharing with us.
    Sincerely
    Michelle

I’ve been listening to the Breakfast club for years and enjoyed the conversations. I could especially relate when you and Chuck discussed your teenagers, since I have two. I will miss that and think that the station will lose those of us who grew up with the Breakfast Club (I’ve been listening since it was Harper & Edmunds) I have actually started listening to Satellite radio since I don’t like the “new” WNIC. Curious to know where you’ll be next!

Ok – it took me awhile, but this morning, on my way to work, it suddenly dawned on me! WHERE’s Lisa and Kevin?? So I googled your names and read the bad news. I will no longer be a “loyal listener” – how ironic they use that term for their promos! You and Kevin brightened so many days for me; you’re both awesome people and you are missed! I’m not surprised you’re dealing with this with a positive attitude – that’s who you are. I’m sure there’s something much better down the road for you both. Blessings and good wishes to you and Kevin.

Today I didn’t tell myself anymore that maybe both of you guys are in vacation, as I assumed for too long, so I googled “Lisa and Kevin WNIC”, and got the terrible news. What a big mistake the radio station’s owner made! Definitelly I am through with this radio station, which used to be my favorite. Lisa and Kevin, Both of you are sharp, warm and talented people, and you were awesome companions for my 40-minutes,5 AM ride to work. Stay positive – everything happens for a reason :). My best wishes and good luck with your new beginning.

    Love, Cristina
